The 87th Legislature is in full-swing! After spending a few days back home in the District and with my family this week, I’ll return to Austin this weekend as we prepare for the Texas House of Representatives to convene again at the Texas Capitol early next week. In the coming days, we’ll send you more information about some of the important issues being considered and debated at the Austin – from the state budget to redistricting, to healthcare and education, to public safety and election integrity. Likewise, next week I will begin to roll-out my own legislative package that we’ve been working diligently on in recent days and weeks, reflecting policy priorities that are important to me and, more importantly, important to you and all of the people I am elected to serve. These bills that I’ll file in the coming days have been carefully and strategically crafted to safeguard our fundamental rights and liberties, to protect taxpayers, to invest in education and critical infrastructure, to make healthcare more affordable and accessible, to support our law enforcement and first responders and to make Texas – and HD67 – even stronger than it already is.
